9 reasons why Vanuatu should be on your bucketlist

Vanuatu, probably a country you have never heard of. But a country you need to put on your bucketlist, ASAP. Trust me on this one. One of the happiest countries in the world. An unique beauty. Staying in hideaway resorts. Enjoying the beach life or the many activities. With 83 islands, you have enough to choose from. The country with world’s only underwater post office and only post office on an active volcano. Vanuatu has it all. Not convinced yet? Maybe the below reasons will help you to book a ticket to Vanuatu the next time. 9 reasons why Vanuatu should be on your bucketlist!

Visiting an active volcano, MT. Yasur. I couldn’t believe my ears nor eyes when I say how close you can get to see the lava. Kind of scary to, but if you are reading this blog, it means that I survived.

Vanuatu has some real amazing beaches, with fantastic blue waters. You can do some spectacular swimming! There are so many places to cool off on Vanuatu.

Yes, I am terrified for sharks but at the same time I love to snorkel around searching for fish, turtles and coral. And yes I did this and enjoyed it as well. But I was told that Vanuatu is a diving’s paradise. If diving is something you like, this can be an interesting place for you.

Friendly people and with that, their heritage. Enjoy one of the cultural ceremonies or one of their traditions.

Get back to nature. I am not only talking about the variety of the palm trees (they have them too). We decided to do some pretty walks in the nature to find the most beautiful beaches.

Seeking adventure, do not look any further. Addicted to adrenaline, Vanuatu got your back! Kayaking, cave exploration, horse riding, bungee jumping, they have it all. The one I loved? Seeing the inside of an active vulcano, can’t express it enough!

Incredible blue holes. The water is simply breathtaking and can be extremely cold. And the good news, no scary animals to be found in these holes. Only fishies.

At night the place to see the Milky Way. After the volcano experience, I believe that this was the number to reason for me to fall in love with Vanuatu. Growing up in a city in Europe I rarely see the stars. But this was something way more magical and completely different.

Just because it is a country unlike anywhere else on earth. For my personal adventure and what I loved about Vanuatu, check out a separate post.
